Clash of the Titans : Re imaging into darker tones
I just caught the Clash of the Titans remake in 3D the other day. Was it better with the 3D and new CGI technology ? Yes and No.
Liam Neeson as Zeus was an inspired choice. His voice is definitely suited for the role. Not necessary better then Laurence Olivier but comparable.
Sam Worthington is a much more buff and rough Perseus although the Terminator acting and look is not necessary better then the pretty boy look of Mark Hamlin.
Pegasus became a black horse and was not a inspiring as the stop motion version.
Medusa was quite a sight with the fluid motion, archery skills and awesome stony stare. Comparable to the stop motion ancestor.
The Stygian witches were on par in their sliminess and creepy demeanor.
And ah the Kraken, awesome tentacles but not enough screen time to build that awe inspiring finale.
There was no comparable character to the trusty R2-D2 clone Bubo the Owl but he did get a fleeting cameo.
And the 3D...hmm seems more like a 2D movie converted to 3D rather then a movie speicifically filmed to fully take advantage of the 3D effects. It was pretty uneven throughout the movie and only in some places like the palace scene where the King and Queen were declaring war on the Gods were you able to appreciate the 3D depth and effects fully. A lot of the times it did not give you the feel and even some of the great scenic moments as the team crossed over vast mountains did you get the full effect.
Verdict :
Actors/ress : 3/5
Action : 4/5
Story line : 3/5
Effects : 3/5
Music : 2/5
3D : 2/5

Marvel Iron Man Fashion- Armor and more armor !
Iron Man has always had the best toys and his various armor designs, some specially constructed for specific tasks has always been a great fascination of mine.
Always the favorite is the classic red and gold armor.
Especially with the cool blast off stand and replusor blast.
It all started with the Mark I armor which although looks quite rough was functionally really cool. Great for BBQs !
With a little bit of refinement though still short on the colors, the Mark II became more sleek
With the Mark III adding more color to the armor and cool gadgets and functionality
Hypervelocity armor gave a more cyber look to the armor
And the Power Assault armor provided more heavy duty action
For more specialized missions into the ocean, the Deep Dive armor is recommended
and for those missions where it is better not to be seen, the Stealth armor is an absolute must.

Star Wars CLONE COMMANDER STONE
CLONE COMMANDER STONE leads the rescue of Republican prisoners from Weequay pirates with the help of Jar Jar Binks. Captured in great detail with his blasters and a removable helmet, this figure is a great addition to any Star War Clone Wars collection.

Marvel Super Hero Squad - Shang Chi Error Variation
On rare occasions the production quality controller takes a break and a mistake is made in the production line which makes it to the market. This time we have Shang Chi from the Marvel Super Heroes Squad collection doing an impersonation of the Exorcist ! His head is packed in the wrong way around. I'm not sure if the production line is automated or if this was packed by an individual with high job satisfaction...:P
This makes a unique collectors piece as such errors are rarely found.
You can check this out in my eBay listing by clicking here.
