X-men Marvel Legends BAF Brood Queen Select Soldiers
Some really nasty neighbors were spotted moving in our neighborhood in Penang recently. Who else but those pesky X-men alien foes the Brood Queen and her 2 Brood Soldiers. Watch out the Marvel Legends BAF Queen and Marvel Select soldiers are nasty in detail and awesome together. Watch out there goes the neighborhood !

DC Universe JLU Rick Mason Element Man BAF hits Penang
Finally DC comes up with an equivalent of the Marvel Legends Build a Figure ( BAF ) series.
Wave 1 comes with a Collect and Build ( I know not so catchy !) Rick Mason The Element Man or as older DC followers will know as Metamorpho.
Collect 5 figures in the series, each with a part of him to build the complete figure. Although not as large as some of the Marvel Legends BAF which shrunk as the series went on BTW, it is a cool figure to collect. Look out for Wave 2 with Gorilla Grodd ! Now that is something for the Flash fans.
Red Tornado
The Penguin
Batman
Orion
The Demon Etrigan
Cool detailed sculpts with multiple point of articulation. Awesome !

New Iron Man movie is COOL !
Just caught the new Iron Man movie with Robert Downey Jr. and it is truly awesome ! Robert Downey Jr. is cast perfectly as the play boy Tony Stark who has a rude awakening to the implications of his chosen profession. The movie updates Iron Man's origins to be more relevant to current events. Captured in Afghanistan while on a weapons demonstration, Tony Stark builds his mark 01 suit in the depths of an Afghan mountain with the help Yinsen in an origin very close to the original comic series.
Terrence Howard plays Jim Rhodes, Tony Starks close friend and army liason. Gwyneth Paltrow is a great Pepper Potts while Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane is truly inspirational. The resemblance to the comic book character is great even with the divergence of Stane being part of Stark Enterprises instead of a rival company works well.
Jon Favreau as "Happy Hogan" was fun but shame "Happy" did not get more air time.
See if you can spot Stan Lee as Hugh Hefner.
The learning curve that Tony Stark/Iron Man had with the mark 02 and 03 suits were great as we did not see this in the comic series, which made it interesting in the progression of the suit designs and Tony's testings getting used to the suit's capabilities.
Iron Monger was a great foe... looking forward to the next picture and hopefully Warmachine will get an appearance.
Only gripe is what was the thing with Agent Phil Coulson and where was Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury ? Anyone got any ideas ? Love to hear.
