The dark side of toy collecting, Facebook groups and social media
Just caught Michael's video for Youtube channel RetroBlasting and it was disturbing. Seems like he has been caught up in some dispute for one of the smaller creators of Star Wars figures Smith Lord Creations. This brings to surface again the dark side of today's social media where even a small action can get snowballed into some very dark and destructive.
In summary, seems like Smith Lord Creations had taken some pre-orders for a Star Wars set and people were still waiting on these for almost 2 years. Michael had done a video on these and Smith Lord Creations as part of his Youtube channel RetroBlasting some time back, With this, it seems like a lot of people expected him to help to settle the issue with Smith Lord Creation.
This brings about the nature of social media and the inherent expectations for the people who view your content. Does making a video about someone or some entity tie you forever with them? Seems like the more influence you have in terms of followers to your channel, this seems to be the expectation, at least for some out there. It seems to be a far stretch for the imagination to tie this most tenuous link.
Personally I can't comment if any of the connections are real or true since I don't have all the facts. Based on the information, I would say that this is not a realistic expectation of anyone.
As a fellow collector and social media publisher, I would just like to extend the hand of support to Michael and all those social media publishers out there who face this challenge of unreasonable expectations. Don't let this get into your life. Keep the faith and enjoy what you do.

Happy Spider-man Day
1st August is Spider-man Day! Celebrating Peter Parker's first appearance in Marvel Comics Amazing Fantasy # 15 way back 1962.
More then likely that is not the correct date that issue came out but hey... August 1st is a good date.
Spider-man is the soul of the Marvel Comics universe. He depicts the youthfulness and innocence of youth as well as the vulnerabilities.

Shazam finds out magic doesn't always work like in the movies!
DC comics superhero Shazam finds out that some days magic doesn't always work like it should.
After a busy superhero day saving the world, Shazam and Mary Marvel (Batson) decide to call it a day. Time to change back to Billy Batson by uttering the magic word "SHAZAM"!
OOpppps ! Something seems to be wrong. The magic of "SHAZAM" doesn't seem to be working.
Shazam somehow has turned into Marv from Sin City !
Mary Marvel is surprised and tries to help Shazam figure out what happened.
Trying again...woops not really any better.....
Seems like he just shrunk into Marvel Comics Spider-verse Spider-ham !
Magic crossover madness ! Now Shazam is starting to lose it a bit. Mary being the voice of reason urges him to give it another shot. Voila ! Our superhero is back to his normal self. OK so we can worry about getting back to Billy later.

Hasbro Marvel Legends series Captain America has his shield to protect him
The first Avenger, Steve Rogers Captain America, has the super soldier syrum in his body. It makes him perform at the peak of human capacity but it doesn't make him invulnerable. That's why he also has a shield to provide another layer of protection. As depicted by Hasbro's Marvel Legends Action Figure Toy of Captain America.
Similarly if you have had your Covid vaccination, it is just another layer if protection. You are not invulnerable. Do still take the necessary protection to ensure you have as many layers of protection as you can have.

Be a Power Ranger and mask up
Just because you are vaccinated, it does not mean you are totally protected. It just gives another layer of protection so, don't get too comfortable in the taught that you are now OK. The more layers of defense you have the better protected you are. Covid virus doesn't play fair, so don't give it any chance.

You are not Superman...even after Covid vaccination
Just a reminder... even if you have been vaccinated, please still follow all the safety procedures. Covid vaccination will never be 100% in it's protection. Besides even Superman is not invulnerable to Kryptonite or magic.
So please do keep following all the safety process like washing your hands thoroughly, keeping your distance and so forth. We are still a long ways to go and it will never totally go back to the way it was. Let's keep each other safe.
