Happy Comic Book Day from DC Marvel GI Joe and gang

 

Wishing everyone a very HAPPY COMIC BOOK DAY !!!!

Digging through some of my archives and pulling our some of my favorites comics.

From DC Comics, found the crossover event 4 issue War of the Gods which had almost everyone in attendance. Justice League (well lets face it, almost every hero is a card holding Justice Leaguer ) vs the ancient Gods. Comes with some cool posters. Also holding the DC comics flag is the one and only Peacemaker.

Next up are the GI Joes. Technically under Marvel Comics but hey, they are their own brand. Didn't really collect GI Joes much but have some cool comics mainly from the yearbooks which had so much extra stuff.

Last but not least, the main part of my collect, Marvel comics. Random dip into the vault pulled out X-men crossover Days of Future Past. 4 issue main issues featuring Sentinels and all our favorite heroes like Fantastic Four and Avengers too.

Haven't really bought more recent issues but these really bring back great memories.

 Congratulations to all those who backed the Hasbro Marvel Legends Haslab Galactus project. Despite the slow start they broke through the tiers in rapid succession and so will also be getting the Frankie Raye Nova, Silver Surfer as well as the latest announced Morg !

Everyone is watching to see if the army builder tier will be announced.

Personally it's a bit beyond my wallet so will need to be happy with my Toybiz Marvel Legends BAF Galactus and Titanium Silver Surfer.

Watching Hasbro's Fan First Friday reveal of the HUGE 32 inch Marvel Legends Galactus figure, brought back memories when they release the Marvel Universe carded Galactus which was so awesome at that time.

Here is a short trip down memory lane with the planet devourer.

From early Toybiz to the original build a figure (BAF), Galactus is always making impressions when he comes.  Hasbro's Marvel Legends Build a Figure BAF Onslaught is so much better with the original head instead of the Red Skull head the originally came with the BAF series. So glad they did finally release it as part of a different series.

Will have to dig out some Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men to do a scene.

Which one do you prefer?

I'm BACK ! 

OK so it's not quite as anticipated as the return of Marvel Legends but hey...

After not posting in my blog for a while...finally getting my mojo back.

Hope everyone is keeping safe in this crazy new Covid world.

Kicking things off with a highly anticipated parcel arriving at my door. 

None other then the Fantastic Four Dragonman from way back. Although pretty sure this is proably a knock off but it is almost indistinguishable from the original and has some good weight on it.

Will be doing a review once I get a moment to put it together, but enjoy the unboxing 😎

Follow me for some more interesting finds and I will be probably be diving into my collection as well to remind myself what I have lol ! 😁

Question on everyone's mind is will the new version of the Fantastic Four work or will it suck ?
Without Marvel's backing and changing the composition of the team members, is it going to be too much for fans and the general viewer alike?

Guess we will have to see the final product to make our minds up if the new Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm aka Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and Thing are up to the mark.

Not forgetting Victor Von Doom our classic Fantastic Four villian Dr Doom!

Marvel Fantastic Four reboot movie second trailer

The Fantastic Four reboot movie second trailer is out!

Get more glimpses of the FF and the movie story line.

Still got some doubts on the characterizations for our favorite Marvel first family.

Will have to wait until the movie comes out before I give my final judgement on how Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben turn out. Will the younger Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and The Thing breath new life to this series? Will Dr Doom be as cool a villain ?

Unfortunately for collectors, looks like there will be no toy figure tie-ins for this movie.

Marvel Legends Wave 3 brings about a new look to Dr Doom with his pistol and a removable mask to reveal the battle scarred face of Victor von Doom. Also comes with a stand.

Compared with the Doombot from series 2, this latest addition is truly cool. With a different face mask sculpt and the body seems to be more flowing with the cape.
